Where is QC Termemilano located and what to see nearby?
Even in the very heart of the famous city of Milan, you can enjoy peace, relaxation, and beautiful experiences. Specifically at the unique QC Termemilano spa, which represents an exclusive destination even for demanding guests looking for fantastic wellness.
The spa is located in the city’s historical core, right by the Arco di Porta Romana, a triumphal arch that serves as an unmistakable landmark—along with the Torre di Porta Romana (Porta Romana Tower), which towers over the surrounding low-rise historical buildings.
Despite this, you could easily miss the spa if you didn’t know about it. It is carefully hidden behind the remains of ancient walls (Antiche Mura Spagnole). These high walls offer the advantage of perfect privacy and intimacy even in the busy streets of a vibrant metropolis. You will feel as if you have suddenly entered a different world.

From the absolute center of the city at the square with the Duomo di Milano cathedral, it is only about a 2 km walk through the beautiful streets of Milan. This city is completely unique in its character and atmosphere. Compared to, for example, history-steeped Florence, unique and monumental Rome, or wild and authentic Naples, Milan is more modern and cosmopolitan.
It is a major center of business, economy, fashion, and industry. The streets, therefore, leave a different impression than in many other Italian cities—Milan feels the most like a modern and, to some extent, “universal” metropolis that could be located in almost any country in the world. Yet, it still retains its own unique character.
Milan has a faster pace, and the local people are mostly more practical and pragmatic, differing somewhat from “typical Italians.” Nevertheless, you can look forward to grand architecture. Monuments and cultural sites like the La Scala Theatre or the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, which houses Da Vinci’s famous fresco The Last Supper, are must-sees.
How to get to the spa?
The fastest way to get to Milan is, of course, by air.
Flights from the Czech Republic most often head to Malpensa Airport, Milan’s largest airport (the second busiest in Italy). It lies about 50 km from the center, and you can reach the city by train or bus—the journey takes from approx. 35 mins (train) to an hour (bus, depending on traffic).
Another option is Bergamo Airport, which is also a frequent destination for flights from the Czech Republic and is quite popular with low-cost airlines. It is smaller, clearer, and less busy, which some may find more pleasant. The journey to the center takes a similar amount of time.
You can easily get almost directly to the spa gates by tram or bus (Porta Romana M3 stop). It sits at a fairly important hub in the city center. The metro station is only about 100 meters away. A ticket costs 2.20 EUR (valid for 90 min).
About the QC Termemilano Thermal Baths
The QC Termemilano thermal baths are the work of QC Spa of Wonders. This is a very exclusive Italian brand that operates 12 spa centers and 8 wellness hotels. These are located in places like Bormio, Rome, Turin, the Dolomites, Chamonix near Mont Blanc in France, New York, and other exclusive locations.
The QC brand is synonymous with refined style and taste, and every spa or hotel is unique. They are usually intimate, extraordinarily exclusive, and unique facilities rather than massive complexes. This also applies to QC Termemilano, where the emphasis is on originality and an exceptional atmosphere.

QC Termemilano is interesting for how well it is camouflaged in the urban “jungle.” Looking at the 16th-century walls or the front building where the main entrance is located, you wouldn’t know it’s a spa just by passing by. Only when you are welcomed by the elegant reception will you realize you are in an extraordinary place.
The atmosphere here is exceptionally peaceful and luxurious; it is certainly not the entrance hall of a large public bath, but a cozy place where you can wait in comfort if you arrive earlier than your reserved time.
Outdoor Thermal Pools
QC Termemilano has both indoor and outdoor sections and facilities.
The outdoor area is unique in its environment and will definitely impress even the most demanding guests. There are beautifully decorated gardens surrounded by a wall in the form of an ancient “viaduct” with arched columns. The space is relatively small, but despite that (or perhaps because of it), it is charming, romantic, and has a wonderful atmosphere.
The dominant feature is a large and structured thermal pool, from which steam rises profusely. The pool is equipped with many partitions and lined with numerous underwater benches and beds. Hydromassage features are also included. Around the corner, another pool is hidden in a charming nook, along with a terrace with sun loungers. Loungers are also scattered across the grassy areas of the garden. Both pools are intended exclusively for relaxation. Unfortunately, swimmers will not find what they are looking for at QC Termemilano. Everything here is dedicated to intoxicating rest and regeneration.

The Tram Sauna
A unique feature of the spa is definitely the tram setting. Specifically, it is a real (former) tram, which does not serve as a mere decoration. An original sauna is located directly inside it. To be more precise, it is a bio-sauna—a heating room with a more pleasant temperature than a classic Finnish sauna. At the same time, natural scenery is projected onto large screens in some of the windows.
Relaxation Domes
You will certainly not miss the unusual transparent domes, of which there are three in the garden. This is not glamping accommodation, but relaxation zones. Each is furnished in a slightly different way.
Decoration and Evening Bathing
The environment of the QC Termemilano spa is beautiful during the day, but as soon as it gets dark, the atmosphere becomes literally fantastic. The garden is beautifully decorated with lights, and the pools are illuminated. Furthermore, the spa is open until 11 PM (Friday and Saturday until midnight), so you will have plenty of time to enjoy an evening swim under the open sky.

Outdoor Sensory Path
Outside, you can also try an interesting barefoot path. The walkway offers various surfaces that provide stimulation and sensations for bare feet, promoting blood circulation in the lower limbs.
Indoor Facilities – Pool with “4D Cinema”
Inside the spa building, more great facilities await you. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the “cinema pool.” This thermal pool in a dark room is surrounded by screens projecting scenes of weather, including rain and eventually a wild storm. This is accompanied by rain coming directly “from the sky,” which in the later stages is quite intense. But of course, you can easily avoid it and relax outside the downpour area.
Indoor Sauna World
Although there is only one sauna in the outdoor gardens, don’t be mistaken—it certainly doesn’t end there. The indoor sauna world is very rich. There is, for example, a hay bio-sauna, a Finnish sauna with aromatherapy and cleansing rituals, a sauna in the style of an ancient country house from the Valtellina region, and more. You definitely have a lot to look forward to.

Other Facilities
In the indoor section, you will also find whirlpool pools, as well as great Kneipp paths, experience loungers sprinkled with “rain,” and other interesting equipment. There is also a remarkable relaxation zone in a dark room with a very special atmosphere.

For 212 EUR, you can also get a combined stay with spa entry for 2 people. The spa is located only a few steps from the accommodation.

Given the good accessibility, it is possible to stay basically anywhere in Milan and reach the spa via public transport. However, these hotels are located nearby:
- Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan – a more luxurious 5* hotel, its own rooftop pool, private parking.
- Hotel The Square Milano Duomo – a 4* hotel, 5 minutes walk from Milan Cathedral, La Scala Opera, and the Vittorio Emanuele shopping zone.
- Bob W Ticinese – a cozy spot in the center of Milan and near the QC Termemilano spa.

Summary and Review Rating
QC Termemilano belongs among the very exclusive spa areas—ideal for romance and relaxation in a beautiful setting. However, some guests complain about frequent overcrowding of the already small and cramped area and high prices. Nevertheless, most people rate the visit as a great experience.
If you are in Milan, you might also prefer the brand new De Montel Terme Milano, which is said to be the largest spa center in Italy.
