Termy Maltańskie is one of the largest water complexes in Poland. It stands beside Lake Malta on the eastern side of Poznań and is easy to combine with a city break or a longer journey through western Poland.
But don’t expect a classic spa with a colonnade and healing houses. On the shores of Lake Malta, a large aquapark, a sports swimming area, geothermal pools and, from 2026, a significantly expanded Sauna & Wellness zone all come together in one place. The entire complex has 18 sports and recreational pools and approximately 5,000 m² of water surface.

Parking at Termy Maltańskie
There are two paid parking lots right next to the complex. Both have free parking for the first 20 minutes, so there is no charge for short drop-offs.
At the cheaper parking lot, you then pay PLN 5 for each started hour, up to a maximum of PLN 50. The second, guarded option costs PLN 8 for each started hour, up to a maximum of PLN 80. The parking system works with the car’s license plate and is paid at the machine.
How to get to Terma Maltańskie without a car
Thanks to its location a few kilometers from the center, a car is not necessary. There is public transport to Terme Maltańskie and there are tram and bus stops around the area.
The easiest way is to search for the connection to the Termalna stop in the current ZTM Poznań timetable before your trip.
Spa area
Termy Maltańskie is located on the northern shore of Lake Maltańskiego in Poznań. Originally, it was a traditional spa with healing procedures. However, these are gradually disappearing and the area is increasingly becoming an entertainment water park for the whole family.
The outdoor facilities of the thermal spa include slides, swimming pools and saunas. Termy Maltańskie covers more than 5,000 m² of water surface, which is no small feat.
Aqua Park Poznań (Termy Maltańskie) consists of three parts:
- Water park
- Maltan saunas
- Sports pools
Individual zones are accessible with the right combination of tickets, as we know from other water parks. However, each has its own atmosphere and while you are having fun in one, in another you focus on performing sports or relaxing.
Water in the water park
We don’t know much about the composition of the water in the thermal baths, but it is said that it contains mainly sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and chlorides. Aqua Park Poznań draws geothermal water from springs located 1306 meters underground. The water itself is saturated with beneficial elements and minerals and affects various areas of the human body.
The health-promoting water can be found mainly in the indoor and outdoor geothermal pools. Here, chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal and respiratory systems are primarily treated, and visitors also come here to rehabilitate and rest after demanding surgeries and serious injuries.
Malta Thermal Baths Aquapark and Spa
The interior of the spa has a tropical climate, which you will encounter in central Poland only on the warmest days. Practically at every step you will come across one of the impressive attractions, which are designed for children and adults.
Termy Maltańskie today features a total of 18 sports and recreational pools. The Aquapark recreational area itself includes 16 pools and the water in them is approximately 30 to 36 °C.
There is a large recreational pool, a pool with artificial waves, a geothermal pool, a year-round outdoor thermal-mineral pool, hot tubs and a system of smaller cascade pools. You can also swim directly out of the indoor pools.
Some of the outdoor attractions are seasonal. For example, the pool under the outdoor slides is open from May 1 to September 30. On the other hand, the outdoor thermal-mineral pool is open all year round, so outdoor swimming is not just reserved for summer.
Swimming pools in Termy Maltańskie
Although the name of the aquapark includes Termy Maltańskie, the management is gradually abandoning its original intention. It is already clear at the entrance that the thermal baths have been replaced by an amusement aquapark, where all age groups will find their place.
A replica of the Mauna Kea volcano (which, unusually, does not refer to Malta, but Hawaii) towers over the entire area and includes two year-round pools overlooking the adjacent lake. The backbone of water entertainment is a total of 16 pools in Termy Maltańskie :
- Outdoor pool with four relaxation zones – four independent relaxation zones allow for peaceful relaxation right in the heart of the water park.
- Wave pool – artificial waves create the illusion of seaside surf. The experience is enhanced by a gradual entry into the water, which copies the profile of a beach by the sea.
- Indoor geothermal pool – one of the therapeutic pools is used to treat chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal and respiratory systems and for post-operative and post-traumatic conditions.
- Outdoor geothermal pool – a healing pool with a charming panoramic view of Lake Maltańskie. It includes hydromassage and geysers for greater muscle relaxation.
- Outdoor relaxation pool – seasonal swimming pool with obstacles for children and adults. Overcoming obstacles involves adrenaline, sports challenges and inevitable falls into the water. Open only in summer.
- Pool with slides – an impact pool for the largest slides in the area. Open from May 1st to September 30th.
- Jacuzzi – a comfortable hydromassage pool with a lower capacity designed for relaxation after a busy day.
- Cascades – a mysterious place that takes visitors into caves with huge stalactites. It includes cascading pools with loungers and hot tubs.
Water slides in Termy Maltiańske
What would an aquapark be without adrenaline-pumping experiences? Whether visitors prefer a more leisurely ride with a view of Lake Maltiańske or choose a sharp water slide with incredible speed, the spa will accommodate them.
There are a total of 11 slides and water slides to choose from, spread throughout the area. Some of them end in a shared pool, while others have their own landing area.
The most striking ones include a 124-meter-long pontoon slide, a 92.5-meter Multimedia slide with light effects, and two wild rivers. The outdoor wild river is 166 meters long, the indoor one is 64.5 meters long.

Terme Maltańskie with children
We mentioned that the aquapark will entertain the whole family. This of course also applies to the youngest visitors, who are dependent on their parents’ help and cannot stand playing in the water all day.
The most interesting part for families is the aqua park. Smaller children have their own shallow pool with a maximum depth of around 30 centimeters, an interactive water zone and a water playground. In the summer, outdoor playgrounds are also added.
Children under three years old are admitted free of charge. However, children under 13 years old are not allowed in the area without an adult.
Very young children are expected to use a special swim diaper. Strollers are not allowed in the aquapark itself – there is a space available where you can leave them.
On the other hand, children are not allowed in the Sauna & Wellness zone at all. Since the expansion, this entire section is intended only for visitors aged 18 and over.
Saunas & Wellness: a completely different area from 2026
If you were at Terme Maltańskich a few years ago, this is where the most changes have taken place. In June 2026, the significantly expanded Sauna & Wellness zone was opened, which now includes 19 saunas and spas.
The area is divided into three parts – Świat Równowagi, Świat Żywiołów and Świat Zmysłów, i.e. the world of balance, elements and senses. In addition to the original Kelo, Event, Panorama and Maximus saunas, new thematic saunas, hammam, steam bath, salt castle, Japanese Ganbanyoku, relaxation areas and a section for massages and wellness treatments have been added.
The entire sauna zone is 18+ and swimsuit-free. Swimwear is left in the changing room and visitors walk around the area wrapped in a towel, sheet, sauna kilt or bathrobe made of natural material.
The world of elements
The new section works with four basic elements. Sauna Ziemia has approximately 60–70 °C and higher humidity, Powietrze 80–90 °C and Ogień 90–100 °C. The fourth element is the Woda steam bath with a temperature of around 40–45 °C and almost 100% humidity.
Some of the types of saunas:
- Herbal sauna – temperature 80 to 85 °C, humidity 10 to 30%, light steam sauna with a high proportion of aromatic herbs, which are also found on the walls of the sauna.
- Kelo sauna – 85°C to 95°C, humidity 10 to 20%, outdoor Finnish-style sauna with a fireplace in the middle of the room. It is built from fragrant polar pine wood, giving it an unmistakable aroma.
- Shared sauna – 85°C to 95°C, humidity 10 to 20%, the warmest Finnish sauna in the area, where regular sauna rituals and sessions take place.
- Panorama sauna – 85°C to 95°C, humidity 10 to 20%, view of the forests and entertainment area will guarantee that you will return to this sauna again and again.
- Maximus Stone Sauna – 43 to 60°C, humidity 45 to 60%, sauna with mild radiant heat with variable humidity and air temperature. Automatic stove automatically pours water onto the stones, which release minerals throughout the room.
- Infrared sauna – 50 to 60 °C, humidity 10 to 20%, a unique type of sauna with a short history that does not use stones, but infrared rays that warm the human body. The sauna is suitable for beginners and seniors whose health prevents them from visiting a classic sauna.
Sports pools
The third part of the complex consists of a complex of full-fledged Olympic-sized swimming pools that meet the strictest world standards. The water area is intended for amateur and recreational swimming, but world leaders and professionals also come here.
It includes a 50-meter long Olympic pool used for swimming style training (but it can be divided into two 25-meter sections and it is a good idea to check the current lane schedule before going swimming). Next to it is a 5-meter deep diving pool, above which rises a 10-meter high diving board. It also has its own gym and sauna designed for muscle regeneration after physical exercise.

During the main summer season, the water park may be open longer and earlier. Therefore, I recommend checking the current schedule before traveling, especially on public holidays and during vacations.
Where to stay near Termy Maltańskie?
Termy Maltańskie can easily fill most of a day, so staying overnight is worth considering for visitors travelling from farther away. Poznań offers everything from affordable guesthouses to high-end city hotels.
If Termy Maltańskie is the main destination of your trip, it is most practical to look for a hotel right by Lake Malta. Then you can reach the aquapark on foot and you don’t have to worry about parking.
But if you want to combine swimming with a tour of Poznań, I wouldn’t be afraid to stay closer to the historic center. The thermal baths are not far away and thanks to public transport, they can be easily reached even without a car.
